Can I make online payments for all my policies?
You can make online payments for all policies except Hospital Insurance Protection (HIP), Universal Life and Annuities. Payments cannot be made online for pending or lapsed policies.
You have the option of making a single payment on your policy or to set up automatic recurring payments. By setting up automatic payments, you can help avoid a lapse in coverage by making sure your payments are made in accordance with your payment frequency chosen.
For inforce policies, any payment that is due more than 45 days in the future cannot be processed by making an online premium payment. You may make an early payment through the mail or by contacting a Member Services Advocate over the phone at 1-800-684-4222. Similarly, if premiums are overdue on your policy, with a due date more than 45 days in the past, it is too late to make a premium payment online. In this situation, you will need to contact a Member Services Advocate to discuss reinstatement options.
Can I make more than one premium payment online at the same time for the same policy?
You can only make one payment at a time for each policy if you choose to make a single payment. The number of online payments you can make is based on the payment frequency selected on your policy. For instance, if your payment frequency is set for annual payments, you are only eligible to make one online payment per year.
If you chose to set up automatic recurring payments, your initial premium payment will be applied on your current due date and future premium payments will be set up according to your payment frequency selected. Once you are set up for automatic bill payments, you do not need to go online to make additional payments.
